JJ  Darling creates charming, uplifting books designed to bring a little more joy, creativity, and calm into everyday life. She is the author of the Little Hearts, Big Fruit Christian picture book series for young children, along with relaxing coloring, tracing, and activity books for adults.

She lives in a small town outside Salem, Oregon, with the love of her life, whom she has been married to for 42 years. She is also “Mimi” to four grandchildren, who are a wonderful reminder of the joy found in simple moments, imagination, and time spent together.

Inspired by family, faith, and everyday life, JJ creates books with one simple goal: to bring a little joy into someone’s day—whether that means helping a child understand kindness, patience, and goodness or giving an adult a peaceful moment to color, trace, and unwind.

She is always dreaming up the next sweet story, cozy scene, or creative escape to share with readers of all ages.
